"Hannah Montana: The Movie" was recently released on DVD. The initial responses were not surprising to anyone who has watched the television show with more than an 8 year old eye. Let's backtrack a bit for those who are oblivious. Hopeful singing starlet Miley Stewart (Cyrus) invented the persona of Hannah Montana hoping to live a comparatively normal life when not onstage. Her Dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, is concerned that his child is losing her small town roots due to the influence of the entertainment industry.
This is where the movie picks up, back home in Crowley Corners, Tennessee. It's here that Miley goes to her Granny's birthday, falls for a cowboy (played by Lucas Till) and she gives the nod to doing a charity concert to raise funds to stop a developer (played by Barry Bostwick) from plowing under her good ol' Southern childhood home. Seeing "the best of both worlds" works well enough for the television series. Peter Chelsom, the director of the movie, decides to play it safe and splits the film in similar fashion. Montana fanatics should enjoy the concert footage, the Santa Monica Pier scene and perhaps the wrestling-for-the-perfect-shoes bit with Tyra Banks.
Overly concerned parents will be placated by how wholesome the second half of the movie is. Here we see the prerequisite practical life lessons complete with cameos by country singers Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatts. Additionally, slapstick is injected into both halves of the movie for good measure. Fans love Cyrus but others expected more. Either way, as long as Miley sells stuff "Hannah" will live on.

The movie, "Obsessed" can be found on DVD almost anywhere. The latest version of "Obsessed" is not on DVD as of this point. "Obsessed" was a drama and thriller that starred Beyonce as the wife, and British actor Idris Elba as the husband. It lasts approximately one hour and 32 minutes long and was released in April of 2009.
The story starts with a husband by the name of Derek Charles who came into a huge promotion. He is a successful family man with a wife, a son, a growing career and happy home. His life was good until a young temp worker starts stalking him and disrupting his life. The temp wouldn't take no for an answer. Once the wife gets wind of it, she puts a stop to it once and for all. Derek never led this woman on and never wanted to lose his career or life over it. He did nothing to lead this woman on.
Although there are a few more versions of "Obsessed," one of the more popular is the Lifetime movie "Obsessed" starring Jenna Elfman that came out in 2004. Starring as the scorned woman, she made it seem as if the man was the one stalking her, when all along she was the one doing the stalking. The suspense of not knowing who is telling the truth, is what made this a better movie. This version of "Obsessed" can be found on DVD, just as well as any other older version. The newest version is not released yet, it's expected to be released in August of 2009.

The movie called "17 Again" is about a basketball player who had everything, yet was unhappy with his life. Mike had it all, basketball fame as a star player on his high school team and great chances at a college career doing what he loved. He was dating his precious Scarlett. The day of the big game came. The college scouts were there and everything was perfectly in place, or so Mike thought.
Scarlett broke the news that she was pregnant. Mike's life changed forever at that moment. He walked out on his dream and married Scarlett. However, Mike never got over the regret he felt about leaving his basketball dream. He lived in the land of "What If" throughout his entire married life.
Mike and Scarlett's two children were now teenagers. Both saw their dad as unsuccessful. After Mike was passed over for another promotion at his pharmaceutical job, his wife got tired of his whining over what might have been. She made him move out. The only place Mike has to turn is to his friend Ned, who has done quite well for himself in the technology field. He is in fact worth billions.
As Mike returns to his old high school he meets an old janitor. While driving home, Ned sees the old janitor about to jump from a bridge. As Mike attempts to rescue the man, he ends up in the water. Because of this event, Mike gets the opportunity to be 17 once more and live his life again. The catch is that he has a 30-year-old mind. That naturally does not bode well with the current set. Watch it for the rest of the story!

This movie is set in the historic Louisiana crescent city of New Orleans. The beauty of the setting is unsurpassed. The cobblestone streets, French Quarter, trolley cars and natural beauty are amazing.
A detective, Danny Fisher, has "twelve rounds" to rescue his lady love, wife Molly, from a past nemesis. As the "rounds" progress more events do their best to derail this officer from his intended mission.
The Irish born international terrorist Miles Jackson, is determined to do everything he can to derail this officer from the most important mission of his life.
Coincidentally, this is not the first time that Fisher and Jackson have crossed paths. In an earlier flick, "The Marine" - the initial meeting between these two, Jackson killed Fisher's mentally challenged love. So, this time Fisher is determined to rescue the love of his life. Whether driven by guilt, passion or both, it is anybody's guess.
As the "12 Rounds" progress each stunt brings Danny Fisher closer to death. Items used to stop Fisher include a boat, a fire engine, a car and a trolley. It is not helpful when there are constant interruptions from the police department that are unable to be understood.
The real life World Wrestling Entertainment contender John Cena is extraordinary in this latest flick. He faces each explosive challenge with determination as he strives to complete each round.
If you like action movies, beautiful scenery and show stopping antics that will keep you on the edge of your seat, "12 Rounds" is a must see.
